"Every Day of Your Life
Will Become A Memory"
We are located in Paignton with
nearby Torquay and Brixham which are part of the beautiful English
Riviera now collectively known as Torbay.
We live in, and are surrounded
by some of the most beautiful and varied parts of the West Country.
close to Dartmoor and Exmoor, adjacent to Newton Abbot, Teignmouth,
Dawlish the Teign Valley and further up the coast to Starcross
inland along the River Exe. Powderham Castle is close by and onto
the lovely city of Exeter with its outstanding cathedral, canal
basin and surrounding old city. On the outskirts of Exeter in the
Haldon Forest is the impressive building Haldon Belvedere, where
weddings also take place. Out of Exeter to Exmouth, Seaton with
its trams that run along through the marshes and the bird sanctuary
and travel on to the further reaches of Devon, Somerset and Dorset.
If we travel in the other direction from Paignton, you will come to the third oldest town in the country, Totnes, which has a castle and the Dartington Trust estate nearby. Follow the coastal road out of Totnes through Harbertonford and many other lovely villages of the South Hams and you will find you are on the main road to Dartmouth. The prestigious Royal Naval College is set on the hillside overlooking Dartmouth which is situated at the mouth of the picturesque River Dart. Two ferries are used as a means of transport to carry both vehicle and foot passengers across the lovely River Dart to Kingswear and the steam railway which runs between Paignton and Kingswear. Just recently the Paignton and Dartmouth steam railway have arranged for weddings to take place at a certain station en route to Kingswear or Dartmouth for pre-arranged receptions. The steam train is used for various functions thereby allowing bridal parties and other passengers to enjoy the scenic coastal railway journey. On leaving Dartmouth you may continue along the coastal road to Strete, Blackpool Sands, Slapton (lovely long beach and good sea fishing too), and across the road at Slapton Lea there is a bird sanctuary and freshwater fishing lake. You will leave Torcross for Kingsbridge and down to the lovely coastal town of Salcombe. This area is very popular with the boating fraternity and also has its own lifeboat. From Salcombe you will travel inland and take one of the many routes which lead to Plymouth and Cornwall or up to Dartmoor through Tavistock, Princetown and Widecombe with its lovely church set in the backdrop of Haytor. You could also visit Buckfast Abbey where the monks make their own honey and wine. Heading back to Totnes you will pass by Buckfastleigh which has its own heritage steam railway, also catering for weddings and other various functions en route. To have a career that you enjoy (photography) own a property with outstanding sea and country views of Torbay must be the ultimate dream, we are most fortunate to live in the Westcountry. So many of these places have brought back wonderful childhood memories for us to share with our family and friends so it is good to remember that:
